One of the greatest delights of visiting Havre De Grace is the food! Last Wed. We stopped into La Cunina, which has some the best Italian in town.
Gino and Antonella are the proud owners of La Cucina (the Kitchen) Italian Restaurant located in beautiful, downtown Havre de Grace, Maryland. They have raised two sons and a daughter here, Niki, Maico, and Rosanna,
Gino was the first to arrive from Italy in 1978 after being raised in a beautiful coastal town near Naples, Italy named Monte di Procida… and married his hometown love, Antonella, in 1982. Together, they honed their great pizza and kitchen skills in the best Italian Restaurants in New York and New Jersey before settling down in Baltimore, Maryland in September of 2000. After several visits to the beautiful waterfront town of Havre de Grace, with a longing reminscient of Monte di Procida’s simple, coastal life, Gino and Antonella relocated the family here in the summer of 2001. With they help of Niki, Maico, and Rosanna, they opened La Cucina in the downtown Historic District of Havre de Grace, and with a truly family effort have been serving their community ever since…
It is with a proud tradition they offer only the very best authentic Italian Cuisine, Pizzas, and Pastas found anywhere.
La Cucina is a great place to celebrate your anniversary, a birthday, or graduation. They can also cater any event or rehearsal dinner.
The night we went I chose the gluten-free Italian crostini dish which was loaded with shrimp, scallops, and gluten free pasta. The sauce was delicious and the portion was huge. Happily, I had enough to take home for leftovers.
